Be safe by helmet during bike riding

First time, today, I wore the helmet while riding my Hero Honda bike. You know why I wore it first time, for practice to wear the helmet for safety. On the way of home from office I saw two guys are stopped by the police. I stop to know what’s going there. But after a while (without asking from anyone) I get the all stuff in no second. There was a checking for bike riders who have two wheeler and they ride without helmet (safety equipment while riding the bike).

I scared because I never use the helmet before, truly I don’t like to wear it because I cannot see my surrounding area also helmet does not fit to my head. So I never use it before. But today I have to do, as because my colleagues tell me often that you wear the helmet, its gives you safety while riding the bike. I never ear that. When I saw the yesterday’s situation I thought about it. And now today I did, not professionally, but as practice.

It’s true that wearing helmet while riding is safety in all way. It was such a nice experience not only from the safety but also from the pollution as well as environment pollution.

A peace place for holidays - Henry's Island

The last weekend was really good for me as I traveled around the West Bengal, such as Durgapur to Kolkata and Kolkata to New Digha (this travel was awesome and unplanned). The best was on 31st December 2009 from Durgapur to Henry’s Island.

Henry’s Island is really a hotspot for picnic & holidays for whom, who likes to live in a peace climate. We leave the Durgapur at 9 am, 31st December 2009 and reach at Henry’s Island at 9 pm. No..its not the 12 hours journey from Durgapur, We have taken rest in between the places such as Shaktigarh (well known for its “Langcha”, a type of sweet), Diamond Harbor (we stop there for lunch), Namkhana (We have to cross the river by the water jetty or vessel), so its take more than 4 hours.

We reach at 9 pm onwards at Henry’s Island. Its around 10mins ride from Bakkhali. There are two rest houses in Henry Island. One is named Mangrove and another one Sundari which is very close to the sea beach. These lodges belong to the Fisheries Department of West bengal I stayed at Sundari. The place was really superb when I saw it in morning. Everywhere trees such as mangrove looks beautiful, the cultivation of fish (chera pona, tangra, galda chingri etc.). An excellent place for relaxation amidst nature. Added pleasure - the wide variety of fish that will be served on your plate as per your request and they are available on time. I most like the tea made by the restaurants, the taste of tea really good and available at Rs. 5/- only per cup.

If you like to explore the place (Henry’s Island) visit the The State fisheries Development Corporation Ltd. Click for more pictures from Henry’s Island.

Get together party on-spot with Indian tasty foods, kosha mangsho, roti (chapatis), cucumber & onion salad with dhaniya patta ki Chatni!

The days running fast, when then weekend gets lost I can't understand. As the week start from a lots of "khawa-dawa" i mean, I got many invitations such as to participate in marriage ceremony of my relatives. But as my job have no off excluding Sunday, so I can't attend some of them.

The most memorable day was for me that is Monday as because when I came from office and gather in the friends circle for a moment, where we have planned for a feast or which I mean in bengali "Khawa-dawa". And it was not for post dated, it's for that day and that time i mean on spot.

The programmed schedule at spot. We have contributed Rs. 50/- each, there were 7 friends where contributed and one of them arranged the "Kosha mangsho" a type of meat, which is really delicious taste, as he done well in past in such occassions, so we had given the charged for the same to do this job. He prepared it and also with "Dhaniya Pata Chatni", "Special Salad of Sasa & Pyaaz (Cucumber & Onion)" and we arranged the readymade "Roti" from "Kohinoor Hotel".

The occasion / get-together party was really good and we have enjoyed it in winter season and i think it was more pleasant rather than attend a marriage party.
